FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER - ELECTRONICS (m/f)

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Provide field support for the commissioning and production trials of DOK-ING underground mining equipment
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and report equipment failures and performance issues
  • Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities with the site manager to minimize equipment downtime
  • Communicate with clients on-site regarding technical equipment issues and performance
  • Develop and update equipment operating and maintenance procedures
  • Monitor and analyze equipment KPIs
  • Support site management and logistics
  • Provide field reports and improvement suggestions to the R&D department
  • Provide technical input for new business opportunities to the program manager and sales department

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Higher education degree in electrical engineering
  • Strong technical knowledge and practical proficiency in English
  • At least three years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Willingness to travel and work in the South African mining industry
  • Knowledge of embedded electronics systems, including analogue, digital, and power electronics, and RF electronics

 

PREFFERED BUT NOT REQUIRED:

  • Familiarity with electric motors, particularly PMSM and BLDC, and software such as Altium Designer, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and SVN
  • Previous experience in the development of electromotor management systems, electromotor development, and firmware development
